Project’s summary
I’m working on it! Is a youth exchange that will be implemented in Romania – Bucharest and aims at promoting the active youth participation to sustainable development, highlighting three main topics – youth unemployment, volunteering and intergenerational dialogue. The project fully valorizes the youngsters’ creativity and innovation potential, through a positive perspective on their contribution, designing and implementing an event with a great impact on the local community – the Street Event, that combines methods and tools of non-formal education, social animation and social activism. Accordingly, the project manages to frame the priorities of 2010 – as the European Year of Volunteering, 2011 –the European Year of Volunteering and 2012 – the European Year of Active Aging, activating youngsters in working on these topics in a frame that offers them the opportunity to prove that they are the main resources for development and they are working on claiming their stance. In an intercultural frame, the youngsters are also to be involved with developing their skills and competencies and reflecting on the future development of the European construct, fully challenged by the social, economic and normative crisis.
